Development application for medical buildings at 24th St NE (Bel-Red Medical Building)

Hello Sherwood Forest Neighbors.

Please be aware there is a permit application to build a 3-story building with underground parking space on 24th St NE, (almost at the corner of 156th Ave NE) where the Bel-Red medical offices stand right now.

There is a public hearing on 3/31 at 6:00 PM regarding this application. You can join or make public comments for this application here:

Public Meeting: March 31, 2021, 6 PM;

The application states the developer will replace 2 one story building to one 3-story building with an underground parking for an additional 57 car. The most interesting aspect of this application is that they intent to build a church on the first floor which includes offices, class rooms and etc. I believe the most concerning aspect of the application is that church statement, since there is no warranty this will always be a church or ever be a church. So that is something to keep in mind when thinking about this application.

Details for the application can be found here: https://bellevuewa.gov/sites/default/files/media/pdf_document/2021/21-104361-LD.pdf
